Alpharetta

Alpharetta remained a small, largely agrarian community through the early 1980s, but shortly thereafter the city blossomed into one of the most prosperous communities in the United States. The community that had a population of only 3,000 in 1980 today is home to more than 65,000 residents and sees its population swell to more than 120,000 each workday. Grounded in our small town heritage but with our eyes set firmly to the future, we are awesome Alpharetta, Georgia, the Technology City of the South.
There’s a reason why more than 700 technology-based businesses have made their home in Alpharetta, and it’s not just the nice houses and great weather. Our fiber-optic network is the most extensive and redundant in the Southeast, and we work closely with state and local economic development agencies to provide tax credits and incentives to complement any brand of the business. Some of the biggest and most recognized names in the tech industry are thriving here in Alpharetta. And with more than 20 million square feet of office space, there’s plenty of room in the neighborhood for the next corporate investment.

Yet, while the community now has the trappings and success of a metropolitan city, Alpharetta remains known for its sense of community; an ideal environment for raising families, making friends, and enjoying a quality of life that is second to none.

Nowhere is the heart of our community more evident than in Downtown Alpharetta. On most evenings you will find neighbors and visitors exploring Downtown’s vibrant restaurant scene, enjoying live music, or whiling away the evening on the Town Green. On many evenings the streets and sidewalks of Downtown Alpharetta fill with revelry due to a variety of festivals and events that occur each week.

Alpharetta is truly a city on the move, and while we already have a lot to brag about, it all pales in comparison to what is coming.
